Haan Nurses.

Sarah McGowan – Nurse

My name is Sarah, and I graduated my Diploma in Nursing in 2014. I began working for Haan Health Medical Centre in October last year and have never looked back.

I began thinking about nursing at the age of 14 when I completed my life saving course, spending my weekends volunteering the Gold Coast beaches.

Being able to go home from work each night knowing that I have made a small change in somebody’s life is what excites me to turn up day in day out. It is a privilege to be apart of the Haan health family, and work in such a prestige facility.

Our team at Haan Health ensure we provide thorough, holistic care to each and everyone. We have the latest technology in ensuring all your health care needs are met.

When I’m not at work you will find me hanging at the beach, socialising with friends, camping, exercising and enjoying the company of my beautiful family.

Rhiannon Owens – E.E.N

Hello my name is Rhiannon. I graduated with a Diploma of Nursing in 2014.

I transitioned from a medical receptionist to a practice nurse, working across the gold coast. I found my passion for nursing and caring for others after my grandfather had passed away.

I began working here at HAAN Health early this year and fell in love with the place. I am so blessed to be able to work in such a positive and happy atmosphere. All the staff and doctors here are compassionate and thorough with their patient care.

My interests are children’s health, immunisations and chronic disease management. I love working as a practice nurse, helping and encouraging patient’s to reach their goals and improve their health.

It is the best feeling knowing I have made a positive impact in someone’s life.

In my spare time I enjoy reading books, going to the beach, spending time with my family and friends and of course training at the gym!

Pierre Botha – R.N.

Hi my name is Pierre, I’m a registered nurse. I finished my bachelors of nursing at Griffith University at the start of 2015. Before starting at Haan Health I worker as a disability support worker as well as an RN at another medical centre. I could not be happier working here. The Haan family are an amazing group of people to work with and the patients are lovely. My future goals are to further my career in becoming a nurse practitioner or one day follow in my mother’s footsteps and become a doctor. When I’m not at work I enjoy riding my motorbike, driving my car, going to the gym or just being outside having a swim.

Larissa – R.N.

My name is Larissa. I’m a Registered Nurse. I completed my Bachelor of Nursing at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology in 2016. I have recently started with HAAN Health, having transitioned from working in a hospital ward in New Zealand. I feel privileged to work in an environment where the staff are all so compassionate, and caring and provide thorough, professional healthcare.

I found my passion for nursing when my Aunty became very unwell, seeing the impact the nurses had in her life inspired me to become a nurse. I love Nursing because you are given an opportunity to work alongside people, and provide education, support and encouragement to them throughout their health journeys.

Outside of work I enjoy surfing, going to the beach,  and spending time friends and family.
