Dr. Amanda

Hello, I’m Dr Amanda Adams, and I love being a GP! Being a GP is a privilege. Probably more than any other area of medicine, we get to know patients and their families in depth.
I trained as a doctor, and then specialised in family medicine, in England. I qualified in 1997, and completed my general practice training in 2003.
I became a GP principle in 2005, owning a shared practice until 2011, when my family and I emigrated to the Gold Coast.
I enjoy all aspects of General Practice, and am particularly interested in chronic disease (like diabetes, heart disease, respiratory medicine and gastroenterology), skin cancer, women’s health and mental health.
Gaining my Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2001, I have maintained a keen interest in all aspects of women’s health, sexual health and contraception. I fit the Implanon (rod) and the Mirena (IUD).
At Haan Health, we like to give every patient ‘VIP’ treatment, with thorough, knowledgeable care, so they feel they have been listened to and looked after. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband and 3 children, on the beach, on the water, and in the water.

Dr. Cameron Halliday

As a General Practitioner with special interests in Men’s Health, Skin related problems, Family orientated medicine and Sports Injuries. I am very proud to be part of the Haan Health Medical Team.
I achieved by primary medical degree in QLD and am completing my Dermatology Diploma with the Australian Institute of Dermatology in 2015. When I am at home I enjoy keeping active with Golf, Squash and trying my hand at Surfing!
Since joining the Haan Health Team in 2014, I have thoroughly enjoyed making a difference in someone’s health and tailoring your care to meet your entire health needs. I firmly believe your health and wellbeing is more than ‘just a script’ or ‘just one problem’ and each person has their own unique health experience.
So don’t hesitate to come and meet me and let’s get your health back on track now.

Dr. Marianne Botha

I love everything about general practice. I qualified as a medical doctor in 1990 from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. After working in a hospital for 1 year I decided to go into general practice, and owned my own solo practice in a small town. I was the only doctor in town for 15 years so I got a lot of experience over the years in all areas. After selling the surgery, we moved to a city where I was part of a group practice for 2 years. During this time, I also assisted surgeons during major operations.

My husband and I, with our 2 sons, immigrated to Australia in 2008. I immediately started working as GP in a big medical centre and passed my fellowship exam (FRACGP) in 2010. It is really difficult to choose my favourite part of General practice because I love working with people from all age groups. Female health, paediatric medicine, skin checks and small surgical procedures are special interests.

In my free time, I like spending quality time with my husband and sons.

I keep fit and healthy by running regularly.

Dr. Frances Knight

Hello, I’m Dr Frances Knight and I recently joined the team at Haan Health as a GP Registrar.

Prior to entering General Practice, I spent several years at the Gold Coast Hospital, working in relevant areas such as medicine, surgery, emergency and rehabilitation. I have special interests in women’s health and paediatrics and I have undertaken extended training and qualifications in these areas.

I enjoy providing care that is personalised, comprehensive and compassionate.

So come and see me at Haan Health. Together we can work on your goals and I will guide you and your family towards optimum health.

Dr. Rachel Wyndham

Integrative Medicine combines the best of Naturopathic, Eastern, Herbal, Nutritional, and Mind Body Medicine with current Medical Science.

“When it comes to changing habits and creating a healthier lifestyle I understand that my patients don’t need more information they need simple inspiration. They need encouragement and a reminder to get back to the basics that work. “

Degree qualified as both a Medical GP and Naturopath, Dr Rach uses an integrated approach to medicine that takes into account the bigger picture of her patients overall health. This incorporates putting out the immediate fires with western prescription medicine, whilst also prescribing holistic medicine, healthy dietary and lifestyle habits as preventative measures against disease developing in the first place.

In truth, Dr Rach recognises that the bigger picture of the body’s physical health is more than just diet and lifestyle habits. That mental and emotional health, the surrounding environment, the ability to express yourself creatively, feeling connected in your relationships and in your community, a sense of purpose in life,  and having faith or a spiritual connection are all major contributing factors to the overall physical health and sense of wellbeing that an individual experiences. A complex interconnecting balancing act that is unique to each person, a life prescription that can take but a lifetime to fulfill.

Dr Rach is an exuberant explorer of the world, riding dressage horses, working as ski doctor in alpine NZ, hunting for herbal medicine in india.  She is also an explorer of the body, mind, emotion, and spirit with a sense of wonder.”

As a registered Medical Doctor, General Practitioner and Naturopath; Dr Rachel Wyndham is available for in-person and Skype consultations at Haan Health Medical Centre in Broadbeach.

Dr. Farrukh Zia

I am excited to be a part of the HAAN family, a family with a mission to make a change. I graduated from Pakistan and then after my initial training I went to the UK and settled there, spent a couple of years in New Zealand and then finally moving to Australia and started at Ayr Hospital which provided me with a lot of opportunities to learn and polish my skills. I have worked in different specialities and sub specialities over the years and finally decided to settle in General Practice.

My special interests are skin cancer, aesthetics and plastic procedures like upper and lower lid reductions and mini face lifts along with other office procedures like aesthetic removal of moles, circumcisions and minor surgical procedures.

In my free time I do like travelling and photography.

Dr. Anushi Mousa

I would like to introduce myself to the team of General Practitioners at Haan Health Medical Centre in Upper Coomera. I have moved from Canada where I am a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians (FCFCP) and I also have my Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Practitioners (FRACGP).

I have trained in Family Medicine at the Western University in Ontario Canada and started my own medical centre in 2007. I have experience working as a family physician (GP) catering to all walks of life. I moved to Australia in 2016 and have seen the best of both countries in terms of medicine.

My philosophy is in preventative medicine however if a cure is required I will do my very best to find a treatment plan that is best suited to your needs, taking into consideration all your health issues and with the understanding that every patient is unique and that illnesses are caused by a myriad of factors.

I enjoy treating every member of the family so please feel free to make an appointment to come and see me, I’m always taking new patients and I look forward to navigating you through your health journey.
