Wayne’s journey in the world of hypnotherapy began as a client rather than a practitioner. Ten years ago, facing major back surgery, he didn’t know whether he would be able to walk again.
In a challenging period of post surgical depression Wayne worked together with a hypnotherapist to get on top of life again…which he did successfully.
This experience crystallised a passion to help others in the same way. He completed his formal studies in hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and began to follow this passion. He holds a Diploma of Hypnotherapy, is a Master Practitioner of NLP and a Practitioner of Time Line Therapy.
This combination of experience and skills on “both sides of the fence” has been beneficial in helping Wayne’s success rates with client outcomes. Over the last 6 years Wayne has been helping clients to
An area of particular interest is helping parents with children from 8-16 with stress related issues such as dealing with bullying, NAPLAN tests and other causes. “It’s a real thrill to see kids get back into school with enthusiasm after they have been going through hell in their own minds” he says. “The relief that parents experience after helping their kids work through these issues is a real joy to see” Wayne continues.
Wayne says that while many people think hypnotherapy may be a static field of knowledge it is important to maintain an up to date knowledge of continuing developments. Being a member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association, meeting peers regularly and participating in continuing studies is one way Wayne keeps his knowledge current.
Wayne lives in Nobby Beach and outside of seeing hypnotherapy clients he is an active member of Kirra Surf Club where he participates in volunteer patrol duties and coaches surf boat crews.
